LOTTERY LEADERS REASSESS DRAW CONTINUITY

Draw continuity is a heightened priority to the lottery industry, and has been identified as a weak point in the operations of the lottery system. When we discussed backup solutions with Daniel Sagrario, IT manager, he said that SLE has recognized the need for several viable backup solutions for the EuroMillions draw, to ensure business continuity under the most extreme and diverse circumstances. Like other industry leaders, he’s looking for backup solutions that provide the same level of integrity as the primary draw solution.

This services allows draw managers and draw auditors to perform and audit draws remotely – including from their homes – following strict security procedures. The solution uses Szrek’s patented RNG technology with proof of integrity. This solution is available as a primary or backup solution for manual draws.

DEDICATED LOTTERY RNG SYSTEMS

RNG systems hosted at the lottery can also offer draw continuity. Both the remote and automated configurations allow draw staff and auditors to maintain their strict security procedures, from various locations, including their homes. Szrek’s automated and remote draw systems can serve as the primary and/ or backup draw system.

Our remote draw systems allow for manual draws from different locations, while maintaining our standard of integrity. Lotteries can perform and audit draws wherever there is internet connectivity (from the draw room, remote facility, or draw staff’s home).

Automated draw systems are integrated with the gaming system, with draws either triggered by the gaming system, or activated by another process. Because automated draws communicate with the gaming system, they can occur without human interaction.
